Why landed cost matters
Sellers who price off the supplier quote alone get a nasty shock when freight, duty and tax land. Your landed cost is the real floor.
- Landed cost = supplier price (converted) + freight + customs duty + import tax + other fees, per unit.
- Duty is usually a % of cost + freight; import VAT/tax usually applies on cost + freight + duty.
- Suggested price = landed cost ÷ (1 − target margin). It only covers getting goods to you — then layer marketplace fees & ads on top with the Profit Calculator.
